Hayley Pomfrett’s violin studies took place in Germany where she studied for 4 years at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with the late, great Russian professor, Grigori Zhislin. Since her graduation her musical career has been extremely varied and every year has brought new and exciting engagements. These days Hayley spends most of her time working in London’s theatres for fabulous West End Shows.

Since September 2022 Hayley holds a permanent position in the orchestra for ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ in London’s West End, performing up to 8 shows per week at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Haymarket.

Prior to this Hayley spent the first 8 months of 2022 working at the Shaftesbury Theatre in playing in the band  for ‘& Juliet’ starring amongst others Miriam-Teak Lee and Keala Settle.

As an orchestral musician Hayley held the position of Principal 2nd Violin with Northern Ballet for 7 years. She also plays regularly with many UK orchestras such as the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of London as well as freelancing for other in the West End Shows such as Hamilton and Les Misérables.

An experienced and confident public performer, Hayley has toured extensively in the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, South America, the Middle East and Asia. She has played at all major UK concert venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium, the O2 Arena and the world-famous Abbey Road Studios and also at many prestigious international venues such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Beau Rivage Palace in Switzerland, the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and La Seine Musicale in Paris.

As a session violinist Hayley has recorded numerous film and TV soundtracks, as well as tracks with artists such as Noel Gallagher, Adele, The Script, Stereophonics, Kanye West, Emeli Sandé, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Liam Gallagher, Paul Weller, Brian May and Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics.
